Welcome to Port Arthur Archaeology Program for the Summer of 2008

Port Arthur is Tasmania's premier tourist attraction with over 250,000 visitors per year, and the archaeology summer programme is becoming an increasingly popular part of the visitor experience.
In addition to the archaeological fieldwork, participants in the archaeology summer programme routinely engage with the public, helping to communicate both the archaeological process and complex meanings of the site to a varied audience.
